Top Summer Creative Writing Programs for High Schoolers
This two-week summer writing program for teens offers a lively campus atmosphere and a curriculum designed to develop and support students’ imaginative writing across literary genres. This intensive institute features guest presenters, authors and various workshop choices, which will be selected once presenters and workshops have been determined. The focus this year is on journalism, creative writing, inspirational mentor texts, and writing workshop models. When the teachers and workshops for Weeks 1 and 2 have been confirmed, participants will receive an email from TWI Director Marie Milner requesting their workshop preferences.

The Summer Writing Program emphasizes a writing process approach, teaching you how to compose academic papers similar to those you will write in college. The Tufts Summer Writing Program provides a distinctive forum for your writerly endeavors. Using texts and film, you'll learn to navigate the relationship between writer and reader, and develop critical literary skills.
